Engagement isn't the only measure of success

I rarely engage with people's content.

But if someone interests me, I'm buying. I can admit that.

As a matter of fact, I can't think anyone who was constantly engaging with me becoming a client. I know it happens, but it hasn't for me yet.⁣

⁣So how do you measure that? How can you systematize what works and do more of what attracts these dark horse clients that passively watch the content, see something that interests them, and make a decision to reach out and end up becoming a client almost right away?

You can't.

⁣One experience that I’ll never forget is the first client I got for podcast launch.⁣

The week before my daughter was born, I decided to update my LinkedIn profile to talk about my offer.⁣

⁣Almost immediately after, someone grabbed my launch roadmap. I could trace her path…⁣

She went to the guide,

a couple of minutes later she was into the free masterclass,

and then a little later there was a call booked on my calendar.

We got on that call and we were so in tune that she became my first official paying launch client. Just like that.⁣

⁣It was like a shooting star... beautiful yet unpredictable.

Moments like that are actually very common.

A lot of people are like me and my client. Maybe you're like that too and that’s why I don't want you to get too caught up in engagement numbers.

⁣When you’re putting out your podcast episodes, don't be hard on yourself when you don’t get the engagement you’re expecting.

There might just be someone lurking, waiting for the right moment, waiting until they see something that's going to make them get out of their chair and make a decision.⁣

⁣These people are beautiful, yet unpredictable, so it requires you to keep showing up and putting yourself out there.⁣

⁣I know it’s discouraging to not get the numbers and fanfare that you were expecting - I feel it too. But, the fight will ultimately be worth it if you just keep going.⁣

Do it when you think nobody's watching, because there's a great chance they probably are.⁣

Trust me on this.
